President Biden gave perhaps the most aggressive speech of his presidency last Thursday. The previous week he had called out the MAGA movement for their adherence to “Semi-Fascism.”
The former president’s defenders responded to his comments by acting like infants: calling Biden’s comments “more hateful than anything Trump ever said.”
In his “Soul Of The Nation” speech from Philadelphia Thursday night, Biden expanded on his previous criticisms and remarks, and once again the MAGA crowd responded like petulant children.
"Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic," Biden said.
"Now, I want to be very clear - very clear upfront: Not every Republican, not even the majority of Republicans, are MAGA Republicans. Not every Republican embraces their extreme ideology...
"But there is no question that the Republican party today is dominated, driven, and intimidated by Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans, and that is a threat to this democracy...
"And here, in my view, is what is true: MAGA Republicans do not respect the Constitution. They don't believe in the rule of law. They don't recognize the will of the people.
"They refuse to accept the results of a free election. And they're working right now, as I speak, in state after state to give power to decide elections in America to partisans and cronies, empowering election deniers to undermine democracy...
"They promote authoritarian leaders, and they fan the flames of political violence that are a threat to our personal rights, to the pursuit of justice, to the rule of law, to the very soul of this country.
"They look at the mob that stormed the United States Capitol on January 6th - brutally attacking law enforcement - not as insurrectionists who placed a dagger at the throat of our democracy, but they look at them as patriots...
"They tried everything last time to nullify the votes of 81 million people. This time, they're determined to succeed in thwarting the will of the people..."
The usual Republican responses were, as I’ve previously mentioned, childish.
Tennessee Republican Marsha Blackburn, tweeted,”Biden promised to unite the nation. Instead, he’s isolated and vilified conservative Americans.”
Trump was the real unity president. He did his best to convince every American that he really won the election. It’s not his fault that some people didn’t believe it. It’s the fault of the mainstream Marxist media who brainwashed the rubes into believing that a senile old coot won the election.
Arkansas’s own Tom Cotton tweeted, “It’s audacious for a president who calls his political opponents “semi-fascist” to be lecturing America about decency.”
Only Trump has the right to be audacious. Especially when it comes to calling Democrats “far-left communists, Marxists, and socialists.” He’s just telling it like it is.
Mary Miller of Illinois complained about Joe Biden calling Republicans names, before proceeding to call him what they’ve been calling him since the beginning of his presidency: “After promising to “heal the soul of the nation,” Joe Biden has resorted to name-calling because the incompetent Marxists running his White House created an inflation crisis, an energy crisis, a border crisis, and a recession.”
That’s a lot of crises. How will we ever survive? Save us, president Trump!
“With all due respect, Mr. president, there’s nothing wrong with America’s soul,” Senator Lindsay Graham tweeted. “The American people are hurting because of your policies. Rampant inflation. Out of control crime. Terrorism on the rise. Broken borders. Stop lecturing & change your policies before it’s too late.”
I wasn’t aware that terrorism was a Joe Biden policy. Or inflation. Apparently it had nothing to do at all with the recent pandemic and parts of the economy shutting down. Obama had his “magic” pen, and Joe Biden has his magic wand with which he can wave and create inflation at will.
Senator Tim Scott tweeted, “Instead of focusing on issues impacting Americans, Biden demonized half the country to distract from his failures. We need leaders who will work to make this nation stronger & safer, instead of tearing this country apart.”
Despite the fact that Biden inherited a broken economy due to a pandemic, the Republican talking points are always the same: “Inflation is a result of his weak policies – everything was great under Trump, by the way, and then Sleepy Joe got in there by stealing it and wreaked all that Trump greatness – crime is rampant because of Democratic policies; all crime everywhere is the fault of Democrats and only Democrats; the borders are wide open for millions of illegal immigrants to waltz through unchecked; Democrats are destroying the country with their policies, never Republicans; and Republicans are trying to save it, blah, blah, blah.
They’d rather have Trump continue tearing the country apart under the guise of making it great again.
“President Biden has chosen to divide, demean and disparage his fellow Americans,” Kevin McCarthy said. ‘Why? Simply because they disagree with his policies. That is not leadership. When the president speaks tonight at Independence Hall, the first lines out of his mouth should be to apologize for slandering tens of millions of Americans as fascists.
“Democrats control every committee in Congress responsible for our nation’s safety, our prosperity, our education and our government oversight. They are in charge of every federal agency responsible for law enforcement ( not true ) for drug enforcement ( not true ) for Homeland Security ( not true ) for our border security ( also not true ). Are you better off? What has two years of one-party Democrat rule in Washington, given us?
“Joe Biden and a politicized Department of Justice launched a raid on the home of his top political rival, Donald Trump,” McCarthy went on. “That is an assault on Democracy. In the last two years, Joe Biden launched an assault on the soul of America, it’s people, it’s laws, it’s most sacred values. He has launched an assault on our democracy, his policies have severely wounded America’s soul, diminished America’s spirit, and betrayed America’s trust.”
America’s soul was “wounded” and nearly destroyed by a pandemic that should have been handled with compassion. Instead, we had media figures who’s heads were so far up the rear end of the former president that they were willing to lie for him and cover for his administration’s incompetency. Media figures who were willingly complicit in that incompetency, who will never admit that their lies and conspiracies were at fault for the deaths of thousands of Americans, but are all too quick and eager to point the finger at Dr. Fauci for his imagined crimes.
Republican Jim Bognet said, “We’re mad that Joe Biden came here and called us fascists. I want to remind folks, a Bernie Sanders supporter is the one who took a shot at Steve Scalise and other Republican Congressmen. And we just had a crazy person go to Virginia and try to murder Brett Kavanaugh because they didn’t agree with a Supreme Court decision. That is extremist.”
They’re mad that Joe Biden called them what they are.
They’re mad that Joe Biden called them what they’ve been calling Democrats for years, not to mention, much worse names than fascist.
They’re mad that Democrats have finally decided to fight back, instead of letting Republicans control the narrative.
They’re mad that they couldn’t steal the election.
And they’re mad that Trump is being held accountable for his actions.

Many thanks for your post. However, whilst I am not a citizen of the USA, even I can see that Joe Biden is senile, and has been for a while, and the Democrats in power are quite mad.
The pandemic was created by the stupidity of the general public into believing that the seasonal ‘flu was a monster about to kill us all. Of course it was manipulated by governments and main stream media etc. to make everyone who had lost common sense, lose all sense of reality and balance.
It was of course largely Democrat governors who shut down their states, but then sadly this was expected as they are not very bright.
Still, look on the bright side. It has woken people up to all the evil in the world and that it is about time we did something about it.
