The Democratic Party: Weak, Spineless And Totally Pussified

House Democrats are once again showcasing their unparalleled talent for self-sabotage. Representative Shri Thanedar recently introduced seven articles of impeachment against president Trump, citing offenses ranging from obstruction of justice to tyranny. However, instead of rallying behind their Constitutional duty, many Democrats have reacted with outrage – not at Trump, but Thanedar himself.

Rep. Jerry Nadler ( D-N.Y. ) labeled the push as “idiotic” and “horrible,” sentiments that received applause during a closed door meeting. Former Speaker, Nancy Pelosi echoed these concerns, emphasizing political strategy over accountability. Their main worry? Pushing for impeachment might distract from opposing a massive Republican-backed tax cut bill.

President Trump has committed numerous crimes and Constitutional violations – deporting citizens without due process, blatantly disregarding court orders, allowing a billionaire to access the private financial information of citizens, accepting a luxury jet from Saudi Arabia, and enriching himself, his family and cronies with numerous crypto and other scams. Advocacy groups like Free Speech For People have documented these abuses extensively, urging Congress to act.

A majority of voters, including 84% of Democrats and 55% of Independents, support impeachment proceedings against Trump. Yet, Democratic leadership seems more concerned with maintaining a facade of unity and avoiding political risks rather than upholding their Constitutional duties.

It’s as if the Democratic strategy is to lie low, and hope the Trump administration collapses under its own weight – as James Carville once advised: to “play dead.” But inaction in the face of tyranny isn’t strategy; it’s cowardice.

Grassroots orgs like Move On and Indivisible, are mobilizing, flooding Congressional offices with calls for action. Still, many Democrats remain paralyzed by fear of political fall out, choosing to appease rather than oppose.

Do Democratic leaders believe that the American people demanding accountability, are also “idiots” and misguided? Or are they too timid to confront a president who gives his middle finger to the Constitution, while facing no accountability?
