In The News: Millions Face Eviction As Federal Moratorium Ends, While Congress Plays Blame Game

FeaturedIn The News: Millions Face Eviction As Federal Moratorium Ends, While Congress Plays Blame Game

Through no fault of their own, millions of Americans lost their jobs during a pandemic that was poorly mismanaged by the government. Many of those Americans received some economic and other relief through the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Securities Act, and other federal programs. The Cares Act included payments of 1,200 for individuals and 2,400 for couples, which included some unemployment relief.

This year’s EIP’s included 500.00 and 1,400 for individuals. But none of the relief that many have received, has been sufficient to prevent millions from being evicted from their homes once the ban expires. The moratorium by the CDC, which the Supreme Court allowed to continue through July, ended Saturday. Some states have enacted their own bans on evctions.

Both parties are content to blame the other, as well as the president for something that they could clearly do something about. Certain progressives are content to grandstand for now, pointing fingers at the their own party, while other progressives are blaming Pelosi – AKA Mrs. Scrooge – for not waving a magic wand and making everything better.

Protesters gathered outside her home, where they taped a fake eviction notice to her door that would have given anti-Democrat progressives a huge erection. Apparently she is the only politician who is out of touch and the only one to have ever owned a multi-million dollar mansion, and she alone can solve the eviction crisis that both chambers of Congress can do something about if only they can get their heads out of their asses.

“Dear Speaker Pelosi, you are hereby given immediate notice that millions of Americans will face eviction tonight when the eviction moratorium expires. We call upon you immediately to call Congress to session to vote to extend the eviction moratorium and keep people in their homes. We’re in the midst of the second worst COVID surge to date and this is not the time to allow evictions to begin. Housing is a human right #evictionmoratorium #eviction crisis.”

The only thing it didn’t say, is This all your fault! It’s a wonder they didn’t blame her for the Delta variant as well.

One genius told Fox News, “The reason we were at her house is that she has a beautiful mansion in Pacific Heights in San Francisco, and that shows how out of touch she is with the people that are facing a situation of eviction.”

Progressive AOC told Jake Tapper she “could not in good conscious blame the Republicans since the Democrats have a majority in the House.”

Republican lawmaker, Patrick McHenry, of the House Financial Services Committee, blames Joe Biden for the Crisis that Congress could have found a solution to some time ago.

“This is a full-scale failure by the Biden Administration that Republicans have been trying to address for months,” he said. “Now we are three days away from the CDC’S unconstitutional eviction moratorium, and what is President Biden’s solution? Blame the Court and call on Congress to fix it. This is absurd. The Administration is squarely to blame for any American family that loses their home due to the gross mismanagement of the Emergency Rental Assistance programs.”

It is absurd. It’s absurd that everyone is blaming everyone else, while failing to admit that everyone is at fault – Joe Biden, both chambers of Congress, the CDC, and the Supreme Court. The federal government in general, is at fault. It’s shameful that the federal government abandoned the American people in time of need, providing little economic aid and rental assistance during a pandemic, and are playing the blame game.

If Biden had used his authority and extended the moratorium through executive action, most Republicans would probably screech that he was exceeding his executive powers for something they say is unconstitutional, as they often did with Obama.

The truth is, neither party has done much of anything to address this situation, other than extending the moratorium. Neither party has sought a long-term solution. Both parties are out of touch with the American people. Both parties need to get their shit together. However, anti-Democrat progressives will continue to hold Nancy Pelosi and moderate Democrats responsible for not doing their job, something that both parties should be doing. Both parties working together could have addressed this issue earlier this year, or even last year and come up with appropriate legislation that would have provided a long-term solution. Finger pointing solves nothing.

In The News: Nancy Pelosi Rejects Trump Ass-Kissing Senators From Jan. 6 Committee Investigation

FeaturedIn The News: Nancy Pelosi Rejects Trump Ass-Kissing Senators From Jan. 6 Committee Investigation

House minority leader Kevin McCarthy appointed Representatives Jim Jordan and Jim Banks to the January 06 insurrection probe. They were promptly rejected by House speaker Nancy Pelosi for their involvement in inciting conspiracy theories regarding the 2020 election.

The probe had been in the works for some time but had been blocked by Republicans in both the House and Senate. On June 28, Pelosi announced the formation of the committee, and on June 30 a resolution was passed to form the committee by a vote of 222 to 190.

Wednesday, Pelosi rejected the appointments of the two Representatives by McCarthy, to which McCarthy referred to as an egregious abuse of power.

In a press release Wednesday, Pelosi said:

“The violent domestic attack on Congress on January 6th was the worst assault on the Capitol since the war of 1812, and the worst domestic assault on American democracy since the Civil War. We are facing a radically new threat in the kinds of forces that combined to attack our government on January 6th. The future of our democracy is on the line. This assault was an attempt to overthrow the government…

“Monday evening, the Minority leader recommended 5 members to serve on the Select Committee. I have spoken with him this morning about the objections raised about Rep’s Jim Banks and Jim Jordan and the impact their appointments may have on the integrity of the investigation. I also informed him I was prepared to appoint Rep’s Rodney Davis, Kelly Armstrong, and Troy Nehls and requested that he recommend two other members.

“With respect to the integrity of the investigation, with an insistence on the truth and with concern about statements made and actions taken by these members, I must reject the recommendation of Rep’s Banks and Jordan to the Select Committee.”

Kevin McCarthy responded with his own statement:

“Speaker Nancy Pelosi has taken the unprecedented step of denying the minority party’s picks for the Select Committee on January 6. This represents an egregious abuse of power and will irreparably damage this institution. Denying the voices of members who have served in the military and law enforcement, as well as leaders of standing committees, has made it undeniable that this panel has lost all legitimacy and credibility and shows the Speaker is more interested in playing politics than seeking the truth.

“Unless speaker Pelosi reverses course and seats all five Republican nominees, Republicans will not be party to their sham process and will instead pursue our own investigation of the facts.”

It’s ironic that McCarthy would accuse Pelosi and Democrats of playing partisan politics regarding an investigation of the events surrounding January 06, when not too long ago McCarthy and his anti-American Trump ass-kissing troglodytes in Congress were busy playing their own partisan games regarding a “stolen” election which Trump insisted that he won by a landslide, which ultimately led to a mob of Trump ass-kissing fascist troglodytes storming the Capitol as they attempted to overturn that election through violence, and their own sham investigations, audits and new voting laws to “preserve voting integrity.”

Fellow Trump ass-kisser Jim Banks had this to say in a previous statement in response to being chosen for the committee by McCarthy:

“If Democrats were serious about investigating political violence, this committee would be studying not only the January 6 riot at the Capitol, but also the hundreds of violent political riots last summer when many more innocent Americans and law enforcement were attacked. And of course, the committee would not overlook the Good Friday murder of USCP officer Billy Evans that was perpetrated by a far-left extremist.

“Make no mistake, Nancy Pelosi created this committee solely to malign conservatives and to justify the Left’s authoritarian agenda.

“Even then, I will do everything possible to give the American people the facts about the lead up to January 6, the riot that day, and the responses from Capitol leadership and the Biden administration. (??) I will not allow this committee to be turned into a forum for condemning millions of Americans because of their political views.”

Those “facts” mentioned by Banks, probably include how Antifa really perpetrated the assault. God knows Trump supporters are all wonderful patriots with the utmost respect for free speech, and fair elections, and it’s a shame they’re all being falsely condemned for their political views.

What Banks fails to understand is that the summer protests, some of which had turned violent, were in response to state violence perpetrated by law enforcement, that further exacerbated the situation, by police being deliberately violent against peaceful protesters, some of which were killed by both police and anti-BLM vigilantes. The Capitol riot, on the other hand, was a response to false claims of election fraud, incited and perpetrated by the former president and his sycophantic supporters in Congress and media.

His press release statement after being rejected from the committee, reads:

“I’m a sitting member of Congress and served my country in Afghanistan and the speaker knows how hard I will fight for my country. We said all along that this was a purely partisan exercise by the Democrats and Nancy Pelosi’s rejection of me and Jim Jordan shows once again she is the most partisan figure in America today.”

“The American people deserve the truth. Unfortunately, Speaker Pelosi is afraid of the facts.”

I don’t care whether he served in the military or not. That doesn’t excuse the fact that he failed in his duty to protect the Constitution. His duty was to secure a fair election, not to promote false claims and conspiracy theories. He, and his fellow Trump ass-kissing troglodytes, should be tried for seditious conspiracy for failing to uphold their oath to protect the Constitution from domestic enemies, and barred from Congress. They betrayed the Constitution the moment they voted to overturn the election results.

He says the Democrats are afraid of the facts. But it was the Trump loyalists who opposed a January 06 commission that Pelosi and the Democrats proposed. They opposed it because they wanted it to include investigations into racial justice protests, to which Pelosi refused, wanting the commission to focus solely on the Capitol riot.

They also opposed it because they knew that it would make the party look bad. Republicans are not interested in making themselves look bad, even though they can’t help but do just that through their actions. Their only interest besides owning the libs, is making themselves look like victims, and they play up that narrative with their constant culture war nonsense, their cancel culture BS, while simultaneously playing up the narrative that it’s really the Democratic party that is un-American, while the real America-loving patriotic party does everything in it’s power to shred the Constitution and destroy democracy – to restrict the right to vote, to protest peacefully, to ban Critical Race Theory from being taught, and to criminalize abortion.

Self-Aggrandizing Pastor Whines On Fox News That ‘Free Speech Is In Danger’ Because He Can’t Play Church Outside The Capitol

Self-Aggrandizing Pastor Whines On Fox News That ‘Free Speech Is In Danger’ Because He Can’t Play Church Outside The Capitol

https://www.foxnews.com/faith-values/christian-minister-sues-pelosi-harris-capitol-prayer-vigil

Fox News is reporting that a “phony Pro-Life pastor” – my words, not theirs – filed a lawsuit for not being allowed to hold a Good Friday service on the grounds of the Washington Capitol. For this reason, free speech is “in danger all across America.”

Patrick Mahoney, the conservative alternative to Al Sharpton.

I had never heard of Patrick Mahoney. Apparently he is known for his political stunts to draw attention to himself. He is a self-styled Pro-Life preacher who is formerly connected to Operation Rescue, and is another white conservative who believes BLM is bad for black people. Despite all this, he apparently has a habit of inserting himself in situations where he doesn’t belong – the right’s version of what they accuse Al Sharpton of doing. A few years ago he inserted himself into the case of Charlie Guard, a critically ill infant in the United Kingdom, for his own political and religious crusade. He’s nothing more than a self-aggrandizing religious nutcase, and Fox News was eager and thrilled to give him a platform.

Patrick Mahoney appeared on Thursday morning’s Fox And Friends to inform the rubes of his lawsuit to sue Nancy Pelosi, Kamala Harris , the Capitol Police Board, and the Senate Sargent At Arms, over the “continued presence of a fence blocking off the area surrounding the Capitol building.”

Why not sue the Republican party, and Donald Trump as well? They’re basically the reason for the fencing and the security. No, it was Nancy Pelosi and Kamala Harri’s fault. I’m surprised he didn’t include Antifa in the lawsuit.

Mahoney filed his suit in a federal court on Tuesday, and wants to hold a “prayer vigil for Good Friday” on the sidewalk outside of the Capitol building, but says he’s been denied his request. He claims to have held other events at the same locale, including that one time last year when he worked with Capitol police to make sure it complied with COVID restrictions.

“We’ve filed the lawsuit, first of all, to return the people’s house back to the people and allow the First Amendment to be honored and celebrated at the United States Capitol,” Mahoney said. “If they can ban peaceful First Amendment activities at the Capitol, then free speech is in danger all across America.”

The Capitol, which houses both chambers of Congress – the House of Representatives and the Senate – is no longer the people’s House because Joe Biden is now president, and free speech is no longer honored or celebrated. Only Trump and Republicans honored free speech and celebrated it. There are people who actually believe this. Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and all of those nefarious Democrats are, through their tyranny, preventing free speech from being exercized at the Capitol, and are soon going to ban free speech across America.

I don’t even have to argue how ridiculous that sounds. But people believe it’s actually happening, like this guy. He’s been denied a permit to play church outside the Capitol building, so he sees an opportunity to get on Fox and get the rubes riled up about the “tyrannical Democrats, who hate free speech, the Constitution, and deny Christians their religious freedom.

He said,”Members are voting, their staffers, their vendors are allowed in, lobbyists, invited guests, the media – the list goes on. The only thing, tragically, that is being prohibited is peaceful First Amendment activities.”

Wouldn’t the activities he mentioned be considered first amendment activities? Apparently not to him. It must include being free to hold church services seven days a week.

Since a Trump supporting mob of losers stormed the Capitol building on January 06, the area around the building has been fenced off with a National Guard presence. Mahoney claims his camp meeting will inspire people with Jesus’ “powerful message of prayer, hope, and love and acceptance, something that has never been allowed at the Capitol when the anti-Christian Democrats are in power, even though every session of both the House and Senate are opened with a Christian prayer.

“The U.S. Capitol will once again be a place where every American can freely and openly express their views and values, whatever they might be, without government interference or oppression…”

It’s a place now where every American can express their views and opinions without the anti-freedom Democrats locking them up. Always has been. It’s just that not too long ago, a mob of Trump fanatics lost their cool and attempted to interfere in a democratic process of “free speech,” by electing a president. The irony.

What is it about Christian fanatics that constantly whine about their religious freedoms being infringed upon? Who is infringing on their religious freedom? No one. Conservatives are the most priveledged class in America, and all they – the Evangelical types do anyway – about how they’re oppressed because they can’t feely discriminate against other groups of people without receiving any criticism in return.

Who is taking their free speech away? No one. Was this guy, Mahoney concerned about “free speech being in danger” when Donald Trump was calling for Colin Kaepernick and other NFL players to be fired for exercising their Constitutional free speech? Did he go on Fox News to complain about that? I really don’t know, but I sincerely doubt it. Did conservatives defend Kaepernick’s free speech, his right to kneel silently in protest of police violence? Certainly not.

When it comes to free speech actually being violated by government, conservatives are nowhere to be found. Well, actually, they’re right there cheering it on.

RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel Has “Democrat-Antifa Brain Rot” On Face The Nation Appearance

RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel Has “Democrat-Antifa Brain Rot” On Face The Nation Appearance

https://www.mediaite.com/tv/rnc-chair-ronna-mcdaniel-says-a-lot-of-self-reflection-is-needed-after-riots-dodges-when-asked-about-trump/

Since the disastrous Unite The Right rally in the summer of 2017, conservative media and the Republican party has been in damage control. Far right groups, including neo-Nazis, the Klan and neo-Confederates united in Charlottesville. They were Trump supporters and those who had voted for Trump. Trump called them “very fine people” and equated the counter-protesters to the Nazis they had come to oppose. One of these very fine people plowed through a small crowd of anti-fascist protesters killing one of them and injuring many others.

A few Republicans demonstrated temporary integrity to denounce and condemn the violence and Trump’s remarks. Even some in conservative media showed a bit of integrity to do the same. Others couldn’t bring themselves to criticize Trump. These conservatives went into overdrive to defend Trump’s remarks and whitewash the violence of that day. Dennis Prager, perhaps one of the biggest defenders of Trump, and who runs Prager University, created a video in defense of Charlottesville, titled The Charlottesville Lie. The video claimed that the so-called biased liberal media had deliberately lied and taken Trump’s statement’s out of context to smear him, to make him look bad, that he had never called them fine people. The video was easily debunked.

Ever since, the Republican party has scrambled frantically, attempting to save face, to distance itself from the extremists in their party, their ranks, pretending as if there is no connection between neo-Nazis, white nationalists, the Klan, and neo-Confederates with the Republican party. And conservative media has been a willing participant in that denial, that obfuscation.

Some conservatives went a step further, into conspiracy territory. It wasn’t really the so-called Alt-right that was responsible for the violence. It was really the left. The left had not only organized and set up the event to make Trump look bad, but Obama and George Soros – the boogeyman of the totally non-anti-semitic conservative right – were also behind it. This theory was voiced by Rush Limburger and several prominent Republican politicians.

During her Face The Nation appearance, Ronna McDaniel demonstrated that “Democrat-Antifa Brain Rot” is a fairly new disorder among Republicans, similar to Derangement Syndrome. Derangement Syndrome is an irrational hatred of everything someone says or does. With Republicans Democrat-Antifa Brain Rot is the insatiable urge to blame everything bad on Democrats. Cancel culture, racism, violence, and anti-Semitism, it’s all the fault of the Democrats, and their allies, Antifa and BLM.

Margret Brennan asked her how damaging the events of January 06 were to the Republican party.

McDaniel: “They were damaging to our country. I think it was horrific what happened. There is no American, Republican or Democrat, who looks at that and sees our Capitol attacked and feels good. And I think there’s a lot of self-reflection that has to go on across the whole country.”

What happened at the Capitol was not just “damaging to our country,” it was damaging to the Republican party. It put the Republican party in a bad light. It made the Republican party look anti-Democratic. If this had been Joe Biden claiming that the Republicans had rigged the election, had sued certain states to stop the vote counting, had his lawyers and supporters putting on televised clown shows disguised as press conferences, all which culminated in encouraging his supporters to march down to the Capitol to fight for him to stop the electoral certification of Trump, and do what they did… how would Republicans, Fox News, Newsmax, and OANN have reacted? They would have lost their shit. They would have been calling the Democrats the party of treason, they would have been calling for televised public executions of the Democrats, just as some of the assholes did with Mike Pence. There is no self-reflection that needs to take place with with the entire country. Only those who participated in it have an obligation to self-reflect on the role they played and the damage it caused to this country – McDaniel included.

Brennan asked her if Trump had done any self-reflection.

McDaniel: “I’m going to talk about me because I’m not going to speak for somebody else. What I will say from an RNC perspective is we’ve been more vocal in denouncing groups like QAnon. We know that anarchists came to Washington that day. There was a bomb placed outside of my building, outside of the Republican National Committee. We have a deeply divided nation. I will do that. I will denounce elements that pretend to be Republican and say we do not want you in our party. I would like Democrats to do the same with Antifa and groups that are anti-Semitic that masquerade as Democrats. and say you are not welcome in our party, as they burned down cities this past summer. I would ask the media to be more fair and how you report things. Don’t suppress reports on Hunter Biden and what’s happening with Andrew Cuomo and the immense failures and then highlighting things like you did with Governor Noem. Andrew Cuomo, what he had done, his policies killed people…”

The Republican party has not been more vocal in denouncing groups like QAnon – at least, not that I know of. A few maybe, not the entire party. The majority of the Republican party loves Trump, and are either QAnon supporters themselves, or don’t mind it’s presence and/ or influence in the party.

Trump supporting extremists came to the Capitol that day, and one or several of them placed explosives outside the RNC and DNC headquarters, probably the night before. Yes, the nation is deeply divided. And why is it divided? It certainly isn’t Democrats who are dividing it. I could name that party, but it’s obvious.

Again, I haven’t heard any wide spread condemnation of Marjory Taylor Green’s radical extremism, her racism, anti-Semitism, or her violent rhetoric. Whenever Republicans are called on to denounce extremism in their own party, they pivot to what-aboutism, what about the Democrats. Donald Trump did exactly that during the NBC televised Town hall where Savannah Guthrie asked him to denounce QAnon, which he could not do without bringing up Antifa and the left. It always comes back to Democrats, the left to Antifa. Democrats must denounce Antifa, a small amorphous movement of anti-fascists, whom the right has exaggerated and hyped as a national terror threat. It’s not the actual, real terrorist groups on the far right that share the same politics, the same ideologies with the mainstream conservatives, some of whom have carried out murders of immigrants and Jews… they’re not the real threat, as the Department of Homeland Security and other government agencies have confirmed. It’s really Antifa and BLM who dare show up at white supremacist and Trump rallies to scream in the face of a Nazi. That’s the real threat to a conservative. Even when Democrats denounce and call out violent tactics of Antifa, conservatives like McDaniel pretend it never happens.

She alludes to groups that burn down cities. No city, that I am aware of, has been burned to the ground. Then says the media must be more fair in it’s reporting. She unironically brings up the Hunter Biden story that even Fox News did not find credible, and pivots directly to Andrew Cuomo “and his immense failures,” accusing him of killing people, but, of course, has nothing to say about Trump’s immense failures to keep the public safe during a pandemic. It’s just blame Democrats, blame Democrats, blame Democrats for everything all day long. Democrats are responsible for Antifa, for everything Louis Farrakhan says about Jews and white people; they are responsible for racism, abortion, anti-Semitism, sexism, cancel culture; for suppressing free speech. It must be a perpetual apology tour – like the one they accused Obama of – atoning for every evil in the world. But even that wouldn’t satisfy conservatives. They would just find something else to bitch about and blame on Democrats.

Brennan said Cuomo wouldn’t like some of her questions if he came on her program, and McDaniel said he deserved it, because the “media as a whole has ignored Andrew Cuomo. Anyone who isn’t living in a conservative media bubble would know that just the opposite is true.

She then asked McDaniel about Liz Cheney lamenting being viewed as the party of white supremacy, and asked McDaniel if she would make it clear that the Republican party is not the party of white supremacy.

McDaniel: “A hundred percent. We passed a resolution unanimously from the RNC members three years ago saying we condemn white supremacy, anti-Semitism, KKK, and I’m going to add QAnon to that. They are not welcome in our party. I have not seen Democrats do that with Louis Farrakhan, who calls the  Jewish people termites. I have not seen them do that with Antifa, who last night committed violence again in Portland.”

It’s disappointing when mainstream media fail to do their jobs when talking to these Republicans who lie so easily with a straight face. It’s disappointing that Brennan allowed her to ramble on and lie without once pushing back, challenging her and fact checking some of her claims. There were three RNC resolutions. One of them supposedly condemned racism from white supremacists, but not the bigotry and hatred from Trump or the Republican party. Another one simply condemned the Southern Poverty Law Center for daring to call out and condemn hate groups, the majority of which happen to be conservative, which is what they were really upset about. That one also called out the Obama administration.  I wonder why.

What Democrats have to do with Louis Farrakhan and what he has said about Jews or white people, I have no idea. Republicans have been desperate to connect him with the Democratic party for years, ever since that photo of Obama standing next to him appeared on the internet, just as they’re currently desperate to keep the narrative alive that their party is still the party of Lincoln, not racism, despite the fact that Republicans hate black people – Black Lives Matter are “racists, “thugs,” and “terrorists” – are the party that engages in voter suppression tactics, and are the party that have ironically and cluelessly  adopted the legacy of the Confederacy, who get butthurt when SJW’s remove their symbols of “southern pride and heritage.”

They have been trying to do the same with Antifa. Even though Antifa, who are not Democrats and are not supported by the Democrats – or vice versa – they constantly claim that Antifa are either the “militant wing of the Democrats,” or they “refuse to condemn their violence,” despite the overwhelming evidence that many Democrats have done so. Again, the idea that Democrats must denounce and condemn Antifa and other left-wing SJ’s, is absurd. They don’t have to denounce Antifa. Democrats have never demanded the same of Republicans.

Brennan reminded McDaniel that the people who sieged the Capitol were carrying Trump flags, which was why Cheney voted to impeach Trump, and, of course, McDaniel had no defense whatsoever.

McDaniel: “But you know what? The Democrats have created a safe haven for Antifa. They have not denounced them. Nancy Pelosi said as cities were being ripped apart, people will do what they do. You can’t hold Republicans to one standard and not Democrats and that creates unrest as well.”

Again back to Antifa. Just as Trump could never condemn the extremist shooters who acted on his rhetoric and that of the conservative media, McDaniel could not bring herself to criticize Trump or the extremists who support him. Just lie about the Democrats creating “a safe haven for Antifa.” What did they do to create this safe haven? Set up sanctuary cities exclusively for anti-fascists?

As cities were “being ripped apart” due to police violence, Nancy Pelosi said “people will do what they do.” In the conservative bubble means this means she was “dismissing violence,” and “encouraging mob violence,” which every right-winger on Twitter said she was doing. She wasn’t. Conservatives are so dim-witted they are unable to comprehend anything they read, which is why they are always taking everything Democrats say out of context. Pelosi’s comments on the protesters toppling the statue of Columbus in Baltimore were nuanced. When asked by a reporter whether it should have been done by a commission or city council, instead of a mob, Pelosi said, “People will do what they do. I do think that from a safety standpoint, it would be a good idea to have it taken down if the community doesn’t want it. I don’t know that it has to be a commission but it could be a community view. Sometimes it’s something that’s been there, that view has been there for a while, but let’s just say… I always say to young people, children who come to the Capitol, when you look around you see statues to people and Washington monuments and the rest who we respect. Washington, Jefferson. Heroes, they would want us to be talking about the future, your future. So everything we do here is about you. It’s not necessarily… they would want it to be about looking forward, not looking back. So let’s just think about what are the values, the vision, the perspective that we enshrine and how that benefits our children rather than having a big fight about was somebody worth it. We know they’re not worth it if they committed treason against the United States.”

Because Conservatives hate Pelosi so much, they took one sentence – people will do what they do – and had a Twitter tantrum accusing her of encouraging violence. Again, she wasn’t. The people encouraging and inciting violence are conservatives, the Marjory Taylor Green’s and the Lauren Boeberts in Congress, and the Republican party has actually given them a “safe haven” within the party. “Democrats have created a safe haven for Antifa,” my ass!

Brennan then asked her if Marjory Taylor Green is representative of the kind of woman she wants to draw to the Republican party.

McDaniel: “Well, you know, I’ve been very vocal about her comments. She apologize for them. I’m glad to see she did and her district will decide that. But we have increased women . We’re now thirty-eight women in Congress in the Republican party. That’s the highest we’ve ever had. And here’s the other thing. Women are suffering under the Biden administration. 2.4 million women have lost their jobs because of daycare issues. A hundred and fifty thousand last month. Women are going through a she-cession. Women are struggling because our kids are not back at school. I’m not saying this as a Republican. I’m saying this as a mother of two kids in public schools watching this rip apart my community as kids are suffering. So get it done. Get our kids back in school. And that’s what the Republican party stands for.”

McDaniel found some of Green’s Facebook post comments “disgusting, and have no place in our country,” which doesn’t sound very vocal to me. Has she ever confronted Green about those comments? Has she ever suggested that Green be expelled from Congress? Has she told Green to her face that she is not welcome in the Republican party? No, no, and no. She apologized for them, don’t you know? Everything is peachy keen now! Democrats need to just shut up about QAnon. The other thing is that women are suffering under Joe Biden’s presidency. 2.4 million women have lost their jobs because they can’t find any daycares to take care of their kids. That’s a lot of women who just suddenly happen to have lost their jobs in less than seven weeks. None of that could possibly have occured under the last administration. Oh no. That administration was perfect. They did everything they could to stop the virus in its tracks. They encouraged everyone to wear masks, social distance, stay home, wash their hands – you name it, Trump, the Republican party and Fox News pundits encouraged it all.

Who does she think she kidding? For a woman who claimed during an interview with The New York Times that she had regrets about allowing Rudy Giuliani and Sydney Powell the use of the RNC headquarters to hold their insane news conference – “When I saw some of the things Sydney was saying without proof, I certainly was concerned that it was happening in my building. There were a whole host of issues we had to deal with what is the liability of the RNC if these allegations are made and unfounded?” – I can’t take her seriously about anything. She was so concerned that she went and held her own news conference with Kayleigh McEnany, the one that even Fox News refused to air. They must have been competing to see who could be the craziest in their claims, and it just so happens that Giuliani and Powell were the more crazier. Too bad they didn’t win an award. Fox News would have devoted an entire week to it.

The last administration could have gotten the job done if it were not so inept. It could have gotten kids back in school, people back to work, if it had just done the right thing, taken the pandemic seriously, instead of complaining about tyranny for being asked to wear masks around others, to lock down. Instead it chose to encourage its supporters to storm Capitol buildings with weapons, to threaten Democratic leaders with death threats. Just as it encouraged its supporters to storm the Washington Capitol on January 06, not only to protest a democratic election, but to overturn it by force, mobs of psychopaths who destroyed property, murdered people, and then had the fucking nerve to say Antifa did it. And to have media – Fox News, Newsmax, OANN – that willingly and eagerly went along with its narrative of a stolen election, and to have a team of lawyers, and supporters who repeated that narrative during interviews and news conferences – Giuliani, Sydney Powell, McEnany, and Ronna McDaniel – and to continue to claim that the Republican party is the party of unity, of responsibility, the Constitution – is outright laughable.

And Margret Brennan’s failure to press her on any of this, is disappointing.

Gayle King Calls Out Pelosi For Calling Trump Supporters ‘Henchmen’: ‘Egregious Language’ | TheHill

Talk show host Gayle King criticized Nancy Pelosi for referring to Trump supporters as henchmen.

Speaking to King on whether she felt Biden should debate Trump, Pelosi said, “The president has no fidelity to fact or truth, and actually in his comments the last few days, no fidelity to the Constitution… He and his henchmen are a danger with their comments, and are a danger to our democracy. Why bother? He isn’t committed to the Constitution.”

King said others would find her language as egregious as Trump’s language was about Pelosi.

I really don’t give a shit whether her language was egregious or not. It’s time to stop being civil to Trump supporters. It’s time to stop worrying about hurting their fragile, snowflake feelings. This are people that are fascist to the core, racist to the core, that don’t give a damn about the first amendment, unless it benefits them. These are people who support and defend the wrongful killings of African American citizens at the hands of an authoritarian police state. These are people who stoke racial fear and hatred of black and brown people. These are people who openly incite violence against their political opponents.

From a Republican Congressman who believes he’s either Chuck Norris, or Steven Seagal.

A real tough guy who wants you to believe that he’s not racist. Who has no problem with white militia men marching armed through Louisville, Kentucky an open carry state. But if you’re part of a black militia doing the same, or an armed – or even unarmed – peaceful protester, he wants you to know you’re a threat to authority and need to be put down like a dog.

These are people who not only marched with a mob of white supremacists in Charlottesville that were responsible for the death of a young woman, but defended the racist mob. These are people who support and defend a president who lies about the Democrats – a centrist party of neo-liberals – telling his supporters that they’re a far left party of radical Marxists who hate their own country; who promoted a racist conspiracy theory about America’s first black president; who has referred to a civil rights movement as terrorists; who has designated – although he has no authority to do so – an antifascist movement as domestic terrorists; who referred to Nazis as fine people; who’s rhetoric – and that of his favorite media, Fox News – has led to the shootings of Muslims, Jews, and immigrants. Who has admitted on record to downplaying the severity of a virus that has now claimed, according to cdc.gov, as of September 27, 204,033 lives; never bothered to mandate testing, mask wearing, or shutting down schools, businesses, etc., – in fact urged reopening way too soon – has never bothered to hold Congress accountable for failing to financially take care of working Americans until they can get back on their feet, has consistently blamed the Democrats for things he should have done, all while pretending he has done a wonderful job during the pandemic, and his sycophantic supporters have excused it all.

Trump, and his supporters have said and done far worse to his critics – than calling them henchmen. The term henchmen fits them perfectly.
