In The News This Week: Every American Adult Available For COVID Vaccine

Every American Adult is available to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Previously, president Biden set a deadline of May 01 to meet that requirement, telling people that they should be able to hold small gatherings by the 04th. But many states had moved to make the vaccine to all adults much sooner, so the deadline was moved to April 19.

“For months I’ve been telling people to get vaccinated when it’s your turn,” he said Sunday on the NBC vaccine special, Roll Up Your Sleeves. “Well, it’s your turn, now. It’s free, it’s convenient and it’s the most important thing you can do to protect yourself from COVID-19.”

“Now is the time to take care of ourselves and each other, so we can get back to normal,” he concluded.

As of Sunday, approximately 131 million + have received an initial dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. That number includes 84.03 million who were fully vaccinated by the Johnson and Johnson single-dose, and the double-dose BioNTech, and the Moderna vaccines.

“It’s truly historic that we have already reached this milestone,” said Dr. Nandita Mani, associate medical director of infection prevention and control at the University of Washington Medical Center.

Medical officials are investigating the possibility that Johnson and Johnson’s single-dose vaccine is related to a rare blood-clotting disorder, and have paused it’s distribution. Dr. Fauci, the CDC’s top infectious disease expert, said the decision to continue the distribution of the vaccine should be made by this Friday.

“I think by that time we’re going to have a decision,” he said on CNN’s State Of The Union. “I don’t want to get ahead of the CDC and the FDA, and the advisory committee.” He added that he expected experts to recommend “some sort of either warning or restriction,” on the use of the vaccine.

Experts have said that even if there is a connection between the vaccine and the blood clotting, the chance is “exceedingly low.”

At the current pace, the United States is expected to vaccinate at least 70% of the population by mid-June. However, the vaccine pause may slow progress toward herd immunity, which depends on getting children immunized.

In The News: Pfizer Requests FDA To Authorize COVID Vaccine For Children Ages 12 To 15

Last week, Pfizer requested to extend the use of its COVID Vaccine to include children ages twelve to fifteen.

The request to the FDA is to amend the emergency use authorization, which they granted last year for teenagers sixteen and older.

Last week Pfizer-BioNTech reported that its phase three clinical trials were completely safe and effective in teenagers twelve to fifteen, but it’s findings had not been verified.

“The hope is to start vaccinating this age group before the start of the new school year,” said CEO Albert Bourla in a statement last week after the results were released.

“Vaccinating our teenagers is the next step in seeing our way through the pandemic,” said Dr. Buddy Creech, a pediatric infectious disease expert at Vanderbilt’s University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

“By extending the age groups that can receive the vaccine, we can continue our efforts to protect those that are most vulnerable: older adults as well as adults and teenagers with underlying medical conditions,” Creech continued, who was not involved in the research.

The FDA’s review will likely take several weeks, given the fact that the data looks good and is consistent with results observed in adults.

According to an NBC News database, one-third of Americans have received the first dose of the vaccine. But in order to vaccinate the whole population, vaccines will need to be authorized for children.

In The News: CDC Director Urges Michigan To “Close Down” As Virus Surges

CDC Director Rochelle Walensky warned Monday that cases and hospitalizations were rising in Michigan due to a surge in coronavirus, and the best thing to do is to “really close things down.”

Michigan’s rate of infection from the virus has risen since one of its lowest points in February. There has been a seven day average of 7, 284 new cases a day and 3, 832 hospitalizations.

The CDC director said that more vaccines to the state won’t solve the problem since immunization can take up to several weeks to affect coronavirus statistics.

“When you have an acute situation, an extraordinary number of cases like we have in Michigan, the answer is not necessarily to give vaccines – in fact, we know the vaccine will have a delayed response,” she said during a White House briefing of the COVID response team.

“The answer to that is to really close things down, to go back to our basics, to go back where we were last Spring, last Summer, to flatten the curve, decrease contact with one another, to test to the extent we have, to contact trace.

“If we tried to vaccinate our way out of what is happening in Michigan, we’d be disappointed that it took so long for the vaccine to work, to actually have an impact.”

Governor Gretchen Whitmer has requested more supplies of the COVID-19 vaccine, but it seems unlikely they will arrive anytime soon.

As health experts and state authorities are concerned about possibly spreading the coronavirus to the most vulnerable during the holidays, Laura Ingraham is preaching to the rubes that it’s all about control, because they hate you, they hate freedom and liberty, and they hate Thanksgiving just as much as they hate Christmas, and they don’t want you to spend time with your families during these hateful holidays.

Democrat state leaders aren’t going to let the holiday season interfere with their attempt to reach into every single part of your life during the coronavirus pandemic, the intrepid Laura Ingraham said Tuesday on the Ingraham Angle.

“Liberals who worship at the alter of Dr. Fauci have no problem reaching into your homes and demanding that you behave in a certain way,” Dr. Laura told the rubes. “Socializing with people outside of your immediate cohort or family or your bubble is verboten. And if you had Thanksgiving plans, they want to shame you into cancelling them.”

That’s right, they want to shame you into getting together with your family and loved ones because you’re a bad person for believing that Donald Trump knows more about science than an actual doctor. They want to shame you because you know that masks don’t work. It has nothing to do with protecting the most vulnerable from the coronavirus, as they claim. It’s tyranny!

Ingraham said the efforts to tighten control over American lifestyle, and, eventually, the virus, is just the beginning of the Democrats’ inevitable lockdowns with Joe Biden in office. Even though, she explained, a nationwide shutdown proved to not be effective the first time.

“The virus is a terrible tragedy but unfortunately one that we’re going to have to learn to live with, using smart, narrowly-tailored, simple health measures.”

The reason we’ve had 259, 005 COVID fatalities is because of an irresponsible federal government led by an irresponsible president who has failed in his duty to protect the American public during a health crisis. He failed from the beginning to take it seriously, he failed to mandate testing, he failed at mandating masks, failing to wear one himself, and he failed to encourage the rubes who voted for him to take them seriously. He complained non-stop about lockdowns, while continuing to hold his rallies where most of the cult failed to wear masks. He has lied every step of the way. He has blamed Obama for his own failures, and in the last remaining months of his term, he has claimed that the pandemic is under control.

These are the reasons the lockdowns were ineffective. These are the reasons we’ve had to live with it. It has very little to do with how the health experts and the Democratic governor’s have responded to the pandemic, who have shown far more responsibility in mandating lockdowns and wearing masks. And Fox News is just as complicit in the deaths of those 259, 000 as is the president of the United States.
