Even when the Buffalo shooter – whatzizname – was proven beyond the shadow of a doubt to have been inspired by conservative media’s Great Replacement rhetoric – that white conservatives are being replaced by hordes of illegal, obedient voters from the Third World – they doubled down with their rhetoric, either playing dumb, like Tucker Carlson, or outright lying, like Tucker Carlson.
Either way, the intent is to distance themselves from any responsibility when those lying liberals start pointing out how the shooter’s rhetoric in the manifesto was strikingly similar to Tucker Carlson’s nightly rantings about demographic changes, and how the Democrats’ ‘open borders policies’ are allowing hordes of new voters to waltz across the southern border, where they will be rewarded with welfare, Snap, and voting rights so they can replace every white conservative American, all while making America ‘poorer and dirtier’ in the process.
During the May 16 edition of The Ingraham Angle, Laura Ingraham informed the rubes that the Buffalo shooting never would have happened had it not been for the mainstream media, i.e, CNN and MSNBC. By censoring lies and conspiracies about COVID vaccines and a stolen election, they were the real culprits. They were the ones who somehow convinced the Buffalo shooter – whatzizname – to dress up in tactical gear and kill those ten people in the Top’s supermarket, not a racist conspiracy about declining white birth rates, changing demographics, and importing obedient voters from the Third World.
"Even when the Buffalo authorities confirmed that the Buffalo shooter was a lone wolf, the gonzo journalists at Rolling Stone say, no, no, no, no, there are accomplices here.The Republicans. It's so weak I don't even want to talk about it tonight because it's so predictable. It's so lame, because the real accomplices are in the media. The media that are propping up an administration that has brought this country to it's knees with policies making American families poorer every single day. And they've tried this tact so many times. They tried to censor opposing views during COVID, including ours. They tried to criminalize their political opposition after January 06 and none of the anti-free speech tactics ever worked."
She doesn’t want to talk about it because she doesn’t have a legitimate argument to explain why Republicans are implicated in these types of shootings. It’s neither weak, nor predictable. Instead, she rambles on about inflation, and conspiracies as opposing views that were allegedly suppressed by the media, as if they were what prompted the shooter to murder those people.
What is predictable is the usual conservative response when called out for using the same replacement rhetoric that inspires white nationalist shooters, and that response is to deny any culpability for their actions, or deflect blame onto their critics. In this case, Democrats and the so-called leftist media that doesn’t regularly traffic in misinformation and conspiracy theories. The absurd claim that Democrats are the actual perpetrators of a dangerous conspiracy theory that has inspired racist shooters, simply by talking about the reality of demographic changes associated with immigration.
Ingraham has promoted her own versions of the replacement conspiracy many times over the years: “Will travesties such as birthright citizenship finally be ended? Will we mandate e-verify to penalize businesses who game the system to keep American wages low? Of this, my friends, you can be sure: Your views on immigration will have zero impact and zero influence on a House dominated by Democrats who want to replace you, the American voters, with newly amnestied citizens and an ever-increasing number of chain migrants.”
Her only response is to deflect blame onto mainstream media she does not approve of, for that which she and other race baiting pundits, are guilty.
