Don Lemon Triggers Bigots With “White Men Are A Domestic Terror Threat” Comment

https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/cnn-host-don-lemon-says-white-men-are-biggest-terror-threat-to-americans

Don Lemon is racist because he stated a fact about domestic terrorism being a white men problem, according to data and statistics. But when the wonderful folks at Fox News claim a majority of undocumented immigrants commit more violent crimes than real Americans, with no data or statistics, there is nothing racist about it.

While in the middle of a segment on the Kentucky shooting outside a Kroger’s store last October, CNN’s Don Lemon said something that triggered the sensitive feelings of totally not racist right-wingers.

“I keep trying to point out to people not to demonize any one group or ethnicity, ” he told Chris Cuomo. “But we keep thinking the bigger terror threat is something else – some people who are marching toward the border like it’s imminent. The last time they did this, a couple hundred people and they, most of them, didn’t get into the country. Most of them tired out before they reached the border.

So, we have to stop demonizing people and realize the biggest terror threat in this country is white men radicalized to the right, and we have to do something about them. There is no travel ban – you know, they had the Muslim ban. There is no white guy ban. So, what do we do about that?”

Lemon was making a point when he said he tells people not to demonize ethnic groups – conservatives do it all the time – but of course, that went completely over the heads of his triggered critics. And all it took was one line from his entire comment – the biggest terror threat is white men radicalized to the right – for conservatives to lose their s**t.

Greg Jarrett of Fox News wrote:

“CNN’s Don Lemon has now removed all doubt that he is a racist, hypocrite and an idiot all rolled into one. Quite the accomplishment.”

Meanwhile, over at the Fox News channel there is still some doubt as to whether there is any racism going on. Apparently, no one there has ever referred to asylum seekers as criminals, or animals, even though they are coming here just to see how many of those high paying jobs they can steal, sell drugs to real s**t kicking Americans, spread diseases, and commit as many crimes as possible before they can be caught and sent back. God knows they can’t be coming here to get away from all that same s**t.

Fox pundit Brit Hume wrote:

I could hardly believe he actually said it. But the video shows he actually did. Remarkable.

I find it remarkable that not one Republican in media can admit to their own faults or prejudices. When a Democrat says or does something that’s racially insensitive, everyone on the left is held accountable, but when a Republican does it, they accuse leftists of being racist for calling it out. There is no accountability.

I suspect that most conservatives are probably mature enough to admit that Lemon was making some sense. There is no media hysteria over white domestic terrorism, like there is with other forms of terrorism. There is no white guy ban, there are no talks of deportation proceedings whenever a white supremacist shooter walks into a synagogue with an AR-15 screaming about HIAS bringing invaders into America to kill their people. But MAGA chumps are immature and have abandoned all reason and decency when it comes to immigration. Brown skinned people coming across the southern border are nothing more than criminals to them, who should be locked in cages like animals simply for wanting a better shot at life. The right-wing echo chamber has them firmly convinced that refugees and asylum seekers are an invading force that is a prelude to white genocide.

Mollie Hemingway of the Federalist:

Uhhhhhh… CNN’s Don Lemon: Stop demonizing people. Also, white men are terrorists.”

Right-wing commentators in media have no problem holding all Muslims accountable when an Islamic shooter is involved. But applying the same standards to white domestic terrorists is somehow racist? Sorry, not buying that s**t.

Mark Levin, who, in the past called America’s first black president a racist and anti-Semite, tweeted:

“CNN’s Don Lemon, lunatic.”

Mark Levin calling anyone a lunatic is not only ironic, it’s a hoot given the fact that he spent the entire previous eight years screaming at Obama in his girly, petulant, nasally voice.

Ben Cohen of the Daily Banter wrote this of Levin in 2016: “Levin is a repulsive stereotype of Republican assholishness. His nasally high pitched whining about liberals and gays, passes for political commentary in America. There is no one the joyless Mark Levin hates more than president Obama, a man who represents everything Levin is not. Obama is charismatic, powerful, and charming, while Levin is physically repellent and as likeable as a fart in an elevator. No matter the situation, Levin always finds a way to turn whatever current event may have occurred into an opportunity to attack Obama and ‘leftists’ he believes are trying to destroy America.”

Fox News Christian zealot, Todd Starnes:

CNN’s Don Lemon: ” The biggest terror thereat in this country is white men. Is that unadulterated racism or bigotry?”

Call it what you will. What’s racist is the constant race baiting that occurs at Fox News, repeating white supremacist rhetoric, and attacking refugees and asylum seekers as criminals, and being less than human.

Donald Trump Jr. had perhaps the dumbest tweet of them all:

Sadly, the real joke in this situation is junior, the real moron. He’s even dumber than his old man, if that’s even possible.

One doesn’t have to imagine if “white men” were replaced with any other demographic. Fox News and other right-wing media have been doing the same thing for years with their “scary brown and black people” narratives, and no one on the mainstream right sees the irony. I guarantee not one right-winger who lost their ever loving minds over this, even noticed the hypocrisy.

From the linked article:

“Fox News contributor Deroy Murdoch said the racism coming from the left and mainstream media has become “breathtaking,” pointing to Lemon’s comment as the latest example.

The claim of racism coming from the left, is bizarre to say the least. Anyone who has been paying attention to the news of late, would know that this is an absurd charge. One has only to watch right-wing media, Fox News in particular, to see the blatant racism, bigotry, and xenophobia on full display. And it is indeed breathtaking. The attacks on four elected progressive congresswomen, the bigotry and death threats they’ve had to put up with simply for daring to be critical of Israel, by an egomaniacal president, and his lap dogs and sycophants in Trump media who shamelessly defend and excuse his bigotry.

“Lemon’s latest spurt of acid is a most unusual plea for national unity. Painting with a roller rather than a broad brush, Lemon slams millions of his fellow Americans. He does not say they are wrong, mistaken, or misinformed. Rather, they are a terror threat.”

Yes, white men radicalized by white supremacist ideology, are indeed a terror threat. That’s simply a fact they refuse to allow to penetrate their overly thick skulls. Recent events have proven that to be the case. But conservatives like Murdoch are only interested in one thing. Advancing the right-wing narrative that only Muslims are terrorists, thereby painting millions of American Muslims with a broad brush when a lone Islamic shooter commits an act of violence. They’re never mentally ill lone wolves like their white counterparts.

Murdoch continues:

“Even worse, Lemon advises, ‘We have to start doing something about them.’ I shudder at the thought of what Lemon has in mind.

I have no idea what Lemon may have had in mind, if anything. But I do know what conservatives like Murdoch would have done if Lemon had been talking about the Islamic terror threat, or an undocumented immigrant who committed a crime. Instead of calling CNN fake news for once, they would have been creaming themselves in ecstacy, and calling for the round up of every Muslim American, and or immigrant. When it’s a white person, a right-winger radicalized by antisemitism, hatred of Muslims, or hatred of immigrants, circle the wagons and cry racism.

“Lemon has been widely condemned for different rhetoric on Monday’s episode of ‘CNN Tonight’. Lemon injected race into a discussion of topics including the antisemitic, Trump-hating gunman who killed eleven worshipers in a Pittsburgh synagogue last week, and the Trump supporter suspected of sending mail bombs to Democrats.”

So, correctly calling the antisemitic shooter in Pittsburgh, a right-winger, is injecting race? He did that when he decided to target Americans who are Jewish.

Lemon:

“The right-wing group killed a woman in Charlottesville. This guy is a right-winger who killed the people in the synagogue. The right-winger sent bombs to CNN and Democrats. I don’t see Democrats killing people.”

Apparently Steve Scalise, who had recently survived a shooting by a “deranged leftist,” reacted to the fact that no Democrat in recent history had killed anyone, by posting a watching eyes emoji while his spokesperson, Lauren Fine, condemned Lemon’s remark.

She latter told Fox News:

“Steve Scalise was nearly assassinated by a leftist who came to a baseball field with the specific intention of murdering several Republican members of Congress. While that reality may be inconvenient for the narrative that Don Lemon is trying to push, the fact remains that Democrats do in fact have an issue with political violence that cannot be ignored or swept under the rug.”

The reality that is inconvenient for people like Fine, is that the Republican party has a serious problem with political violence, and they have conveniently swept it under the rug. They tell their voting base that groups like Black Lives Matter, and Antifa are a threat to law and order; right-wing opinion commentators tell their viewers that refugees from Guatemala and Honduras are less than human and should be treated like invaders, instead of telling them the reasons why they come here. The truth is, only one party has continuously used dehumanizing and dangerous rhetoric against those they deem to be a threat to their way of life – in this case, Muslims, and immigrants – and their media cohorts have willingly aided and abetted them without consequence.

Murdoch ended his idiotic rant with:

“The American left, of which ‘objective journalist’ Lemon clearly is a leader, is good at only one thing – psychological projection. Rather than contend with their own flaws, they accuse others of bearing them. Lemon and his ilk accuse President Trump of being racist, which serves as an incredibly thin cover for their own racist divisive rhetoric. The only good news here is that the American people increasingly see past the Left’s psychological self delusion and recognize these people as what they are… increasingly violent bigots.”

Murdoch is clearly full of s**t. He knows he’s full of s**t, he just doesn’t care that he’s full of s**t. Claiming that the left are violent bigots, when you have mass shooting after mass shooting coming from the political right, who are spurred on by right-wing media vilification of dark skinned foreigners, clearly demonstrates the hilarity of such a claim.

According to him, it’s Democrats and leftists that are the real racists for accusing the president of being racist. In other words, calling someone a racist is just as bad or worse than actual racism. Fine, let’s go with that.

After the passage of the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act, the Republican party embraced the southern strategy to appeal to racial resentment in white voters. That same strategy was embraced by many Republican voters during the 2018 primaries and midterms. White supremacist Russell Walker ran for the House Of Representatives in North Carolina; Arthur Jones, a Nazi ran, for Illinoi’s third Congressional district; pro confederate candidate, Corey Stewart won Virginia’s Republican primary; Paul Nielen ran for Wisconsin’s fifth district ; John Fitzgerald, ran for California’s eleventh Congressional district.

For years, Republicans have accused the Democrats of perpetrating massive voter fraud, while they themselves have actually engaged in voter suppression tactics by purging eligible voters , claiming it will somehow deter voter fraud, or some such bulls**t. Trump once complained that up to three million undocumented immigrants voted illegally in the last election without providing any evidence.

When Republicans slam the social safety net as racist, that it’s nothing more than a ploy to get the black vote to keep them complacent on the ‘Democratic Plantation, don’t you dare call them racist. Everyone knows it’s racist to help others in time of need, especially black people.

When Republicans claim that the first black president was illegitimate, that he was the least vetted of all the presidents, don’t you dare call them racist. They’re concerned patriots.

When Republicans call the black president a Marxist, and a secret, radical left-wing, socialist Muslim who hated his own country, even though he was a center right Democrat, whose foreign policy was no more radical than George Bush’s, don’t you dare call them racist.

When Republicans claim the black presidentĀ  hated police officers and started a war on them, don’t call them racist. The real racists are that black president who once had the audacity to criticize a white police officer, and black people who dare accuse law enforcement of systemic racism.

When unhinged psychopath, and NRA board member, SpongeTed Squishy Pants encourages well-known political figures he despises to suck on the barrels of his machine guns, and tells Alex Jones that Democrats need to be shot like rabid dogs, don’t you dare call him violent.

When unhinged gun fetishist Dana Loesch tells her viewers that mainstream journalists are the rat bastards of the earth that should be curbed stomped for being critical of Trump, don’t you dare accuse her of inciting violence.

When SpongeTed calls for the shooting of undocumented immigrants, don’t you dare call him violent, or racist. SpongeTed is a great American patriot.

When a smirking, egomaniacalĀ  Dana Loesch calls for armed insurrection against Trump critics, don’t you dare accuse her of calling for violence.Ā

When Republicans racially attack elected Congresswomen of color who have dared to be critical of their own government and that of Israel’s government, accusing them of hating their own country, and accusing them of being sympathetic to terrorists, don’t you dare call them Islamaphobic. It’s really ( wink, wink ) all about their policies and nothing to do with the fact that two are Muslim, and one a Latino.

When black people dare complain about systemic racism, and organize to fight against it, they’re called thugs, terrorists, and accused of calling for the deaths of police officers, but don’t you dare call Republicans racist.

When refugees who cross the southern border, or seek asylum at points of entry, are called invaders, murderers, pawns of the Democratic party who want to use them to replace the white demographic, don’t you dare call Republicans racist.

When white domestic shooters, radicalized by the vilification of Muslims, Jews , and undocumented immigrants on right-wing media and social media, shoot up a Mosque, or a synagogue, or target Hispanic and Latino Americans as an invading force that must be eradicated, there is no consequence for right wing media. Don’t you dare call them racist.

When the president of the United States asks his followers how to deal with Hispanic invaders, and someone shouts out shoot them, don’t you dare call them racist.

When the president refers to Nazis who were responsible for the death of a peaceful protester, as fine people, don’t call him a racist.

When a smug Dana Loesch puts Klan hoods on the heads of Thomas The Tank characters to complain about diversity, don’t you dare call her racist.

When Republicans predictably repeat the same talking point, “What about black on black crime?” after every mass shooting, don’t you dare call them racist.

When Fox News pundits tell their viewers that Black Lives Matter are a terrorist group that advocates for the death of police officers, and are more of a threat than white supremacist terrorists that have actually killed, don’t you dare call them racist.

It’s just so unfair to judge them all, to paint them all with a broad brush, even though they wouldn’t hesitate to do the same with a Muslim, a brown skinned immigrant, a black person, a Democrat, or a liberal.

I could paint them all with a broad brush, but I know not all Republicans are racist or bigoted. So, instead, I will call them what they really are. Insensitive, judgmental a**holes, that are not fooling anyone but their gullible viewers with their “racist, violent Left” bulls**t narrative.Ā
