Right Wing News is a wingnut news and opinion website that features articles that specializes in fake news and loads of Democrat and liberal bashing. A few of its contributors, like John Hawkins, who runs it, also contribute to other sites that are even more wingnut, like Townhall, World Net Daily , and PJ Media.
The writer for this particular article, Teresa Monroe-Hamilton – whose bio describes her as a constitutional conservative – was triggered over an interview CNN did with Michael Moore. She was especially triggered by the fact that Moore had the gall to criticize not just president Trump, but his wonderful supporters, many of whom are actual Nazis and white supremacists.
She was really upset that Moore dared to call the majority of them racist, and compared them to enablers of rape. There’s a difference between calling someone an enabler of rape, and actually raping someone. But, apparently, Ms. Monroe, is unable to distinguish the difference.
She starts out by referring to Moore as a vile human being.
“In an interview with CNN’s Don’t Lemon, he went after president Trump, but he didn’t stop there this time. He compared those that voted for Trump to racists and rapists. Yep, he went there. It must be a desperate attempt to stay in the limelight. Moore said the vast majority of Trump supporters are racist. What bull crap. Trump is not a racist, and neither are his supporters for the most part.”
It amazes me that conservatives are willing to deny their president’s bigotry and racism when there is so much evidence. Trump Management was sued in the early seventies for refusing to rent to black applicants. The five Central Park teenagers who were accused of raping a young jogger, and later through DNA evidence, were found to be innocent of that particular crime. Trump later said they should get the death penalty anyway. Calling illegal immigrants rapists and murders, assuming some of them were good people. And the most damning evidence of all, believing the former president wasn’t really an America citizen and not qualified to be commander in chief, due to a racist conspiracy theory that he was really born elsewhere. This very same standard was not applied to Texas Senator Ted Cruz, a white man, who was actually born in Canada.
The Republicans, and right wing media were quick to throw the racist label on Obama, based on absolutely no evidence. He criticized a white police officer, saying that he may have acted stupidly arresting Dr. Gates in his own home. Therefore, he was a racist. He was also a racist simply for attending a mostly black church that had a black preacher who allegedly preached nothing but anti white bigotry ( he didn’t , they just made it up ). Therefore, he ( Obama ) was racist. But, with evidence that is easily accessible through a search of the internet, Trump’s fawning supporters, like miss Monroe, would rather believe that liberals are just making it up out of spite.
“Those in Charlottesville on the left, are not worthy of defending either. You had communists, Antifa, and Black Matter there getting their violence on.”
That may be true, but none of them killed anyone. It’s odd that she fails to mention that. It’s obvious her intent here is to convince her readers that it’s really Antifa, communists, Black Lives Matter, and the other leftist groups, who are the real thugs.
When conservatives, who claim they’re not racist, are quick to condemn a black civil rights group, based on nothing but lies and smears, and in the same breath, are slow to condemn Nazis and white nationalists, while claiming they are the real victims, even after one of them committed murder, says a lot about the moral character of those conservatives.
Both sides did not deserve condemning. It wasn’t Antifa, and Black Lives Matter that were butt hurt over the removal of a confederate statue. It wasn’t Antifa, and Black Lives Matter that carried tiki torches, and chanted, ‘Jews will not replace us.’ It wasn’t Antifa, and BLM that wanted a white ethno state. It wasn’t Antifa, and BLM that plowed through a crowd of leftist protesters, murdering one of them, and injuring scores of others. It’s shameful to equate these two groups to thugs who have murdered innocent people in the name of their ideology, and continue to murder, while our president and his supporters ignore right wing terrorism, and incite violence against progressive Congress women.
“It was luck of the draw that the white supremacists killed someone first, so spare everyone the cooing over the radical left that was there.”
The Nazis and the other far right groups weren’t radical? Apparently not, to conservatives like miss Monroe. And who was cooing over the so-called radical left? No one. People were angry, and rightly so, that a woman was run over by a Neo-Nazi who was obviously looking to hurt someone, so luck had nothing to do with it. The leftist groups that showed up, did so to protest a crowd of armed thugs that have made their intentions known.
“As usual, Moore couldn’t shut it and spewed forth hateful insanity to Lemon … ‘It’s absolutely criminal to stand behind the people that killed Heather Heyer, that beat the heads in of people who were trying to speak their minds. If you put Donald Trump in office, you need to think about this before you kneel down and say your prayers tonight.’ That’s rich coming from an atheist, and also exceedingly hypocritical.
“President Trump condemned the violence immediately following the tragedy in Charlottesville.”
If by immediately, you mean three days.
“He condemned all sides, which is exactly what he should have done. The left took it as an insult.”
It wasn’t just the left that was insulted, but also Republicans who knew Trump had gone too far. He was equating leftist groups, including Black Lives Matter, to the Nazis and the white nationalists who murdered a young woman and injured scores of others. And that was unacceptable. But, apparently, it’s acceptable to miss Monroe, who obviously believes folks like Black Lives Matter are more dangerous than Nazis and white nationalists because they want law enforcement to be accountable for killing unarmed civilians.
“I agree with Trump here … not only should the KKK, the Neo-Nazis, and the white supremacists be held to account for their actions … the communists, Antifa, and BLM should be as well. And in fact, Charlottesville had nothing to do with Trump. This is more of the left’s agenda to tie everything bad to the president.”
Nothing to do with Trump? Is she kidding, or just naive? They were Trump supporters, who obviously felt encouraged enough by his election, to organize and march for white pride. So, it certainly did have something to do with Trump. He ran part of his campaign on white identity politics, appealing to the fears of Americans under siege from migrant hordes of rapists and murders, and the need for a magic wall to keep them out. What the hell did the left have to do with Charlottesville? The left didn’t need to tie anything bad to Trump. Most, if not all, of the Nazis at Charlottesville, voted for him. There is the connection.
“Moore is blaming this on all white men and women as the bad guys here. Trump is just a vehicle to do that. He’s nuts, evil and just disgusting.”
Is she admitting that Trump is partly responsible? And is she calling Trump nuts, evil, and disgusting? I have no objections. But, it’s Moore she’s upset with.
“We don’t talk about this much, ” she quotes Moore. ‘Two thirds, 64 percent, almost two-thirds of white men voted for Trump. Fifty-three percent of white women, the majority, voted for Trump.’ Then Moore ran with the old David Duke accusation. ‘David Duke’s tweet this weekend was maybe one of the most honest things I saw online when he said to Donald Trump, look in the mirror, white America elected you, and never forget it. And, Mr. Duke, you got that right on. He was elected by white America.’
“He couldn’t be more wrong… the common man and middle America elected Trump. I guess that’s really difficult for a Marxist like Moore to grasp.”
Also a lot of racists.
Those who have no argument, typically resort to character attacks. They love to throw around words like communist, socialist, and Marxist. These are the right’s three favorite words to use when attacking progressives. By using them, instead of arguing their case with logic and reason, they lose any credibility, and prove that they are nothing more than partisan hacks. Which is why they write for sites like Right Wing News.
