When have Trump loving , liberal hating Republicans ever owned the libs?
Never , really.
They make shitty arguments that often make no sense.
They troll liberals incessantly , flinging childish insults.
They claim liberals don’t care about facts , and yet they constantly fall for fake news , conspiracy theories and misinformation. They believe anything right-wing media tells them is the gospel truth , while , without a hint of irony , scream that mainstream media – as if the garbage they call news is not mainstream – is all fake news.
When Obama was The Man , they fell for damn near every falsehood about the first black commander-in-chief that right-wing media and print could spoon feed them. He was a Muslim ; hated Israel ; hated white people ; was hostile to Christians , but played footsies with ISIS , allowing them to rage across Europe and the US ; played golf ( an unforgivable transgression ) ; took vacations ( another unforgivable transgression ) ; Benghazi! ; was a Marxist ( even though he never implemented a single Marxist policy ). And the grand falsehood of falsehoods , he was really born in Kenya and therefore not eligible to be president.
No Trump loving Republican has ever owned a lib on-line. All they do is make fools of themselves with their infantile taunts of ‘libtard’ , and ‘liberalism is a mental disorder’ with no self-awareness that this type of behavior may be indicative of a mental issue or two.
To be fair , liberals sometimes engage in the same behavior. But conservatives are obsessed with owning the libs , while liberals in general , are not obsessed with owning Republicans. They’re more interested in ideas. Ideas that are popular among the majority of Americans. Ideas that would be beneficial to people , like universal heath care , decriminalizing marijuana , a living wage for hard-working Americans.
These ideas scare the shit out of Republicans , who have no real ideas of their own , other than more guns , turning schools into prisons , and tax cuts for the wealthy , which is why they feel the urge to lash out and ridicule those on the left who actually have popular ideas , like Bernie Sanders , and Alexandria Ostacio Cortez.
When liberals talk about social issues , Republicans have only to shout Venezuela , believing they’ve scored a point , or owned the libs. They certainly believed they were ‘owning the libs’ when they literally wore diapers to protest college political correctness. But it didn’t turn out so well in their favor.
Liberals are still laughing about that one.
